The Gifted Resource Class offers a dynamic curriculum designed to engage and
challenge students with a variety of stimulating units following a project-based
learning model. Below is a description of each of our units:

Emphasis is placed on honing individual writing styles, exploring various genres, and developing a comprehensive portfolio showcasing their creative prowess.
- Technology Competition Project: This unit fosters innovation and technological literacy as students embark on designing and presenting their own tech-based solutions. From coding apps to engineering prototypes, students tackle real-world problems, applying critical thinking and creativity to develop impactful projects showcased at the North Central Technology Competition.
- Podcast/TED Talk Creation: Students explore the art of effective communication and public speaking through the creation of podcasts and TED- style talks. They research compelling topics, refine their speaking skills, and produce captivating content to engage and inspire audiences, fostering confidence and articulation along the way.
- Statistical Data Analysis Project: In this unit, students delve into the realm of data-driven decision-making, acquiring essential skills in statistical analysis and interpretation. Through hands-on exploration of real-world datasets, students identify trends, draw meaningful conclusions, and present their findings, gaining valuable insights into the role of data in informing decisions across various disciplines.
Throughout these units, students are encouraged to think critically, collaborate with
peers, and unleash their creative potential, preparing them to excel academically and thrive in an ever-evolving world. Students encounter diverse and enriching experiences offered within the gifted resource class, highlighting the development of critical skills across multiple domains.
